Welcome to Dyslexia Bedfordshire, an organisation founded by Emma Stokes, a qualified professional with over 17 years of experience in supporting individuals with dyslexia, dyscalculia, asd, adhd/add, dcd, pda and spd. Our organization is located on the border of Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire, close to Buckinghamshire.

Emma holds a PGCert in SEND, with current professional membership and teaching certificates with Patoss, British Dyslexia Association and The British Psychological Society. Additionally, she has a current and up-to-date Assessment Practising Certificate (APC) with The Dyslexia Guild.

We provide a range of tuition and assessment services to children, young people and adults aimed at developing their confidence, subject/workplace skills, study skills, or life skills.
We empathise with the challenges and adversity posed by Specific Learning Differences (SpLDs), given that we have familial experience of them. We are committed to sensitively fostering improvement in all areas, with a focus on empowering individuals to enhance their self-confidence and self-esteem.

Our specialised tuition programs, which are suitable for SpLDs, but also beneficial for any learner facing difficulties, are designed to target areas of need, rather than learning already secure knowledge, resulting in expeditious progress. Through a comprehensive placement assessment, we can identify specific weaknesses, and develop personalised lesson plans for each individual, based on their unique needs.
Our diagnostic assessments service offers assessments to identify dyslexia, dyscalculia, adult ADHD/ADD and adult DCD (dyspraxia) with utmost precision and accuracy. Our assessments are carried out by a current APC holder with specific training in these areas.
